The Ajala Voyager Television Channel is the first indigenous travel channel in Nigeria and the rest of Africa’s expanding digital television content market. Launched in April 2011 our signal goes out to over 200,000 Nigerian television viewers across the 36 states of Nigeria on the HiTV Platform in Nigeria. As part of its ongoing commitment to developing a multichannel thematic travel channel for Pay TV in Africa, in January 2012 Ajala announced the signing of a Strategic Alliance with libertytv.com a division of Thema Vision Group, a Belgian company listed on Euro.NM Belgium. libertytv.com is the first pan-European multimedia network dedicated to travel and tourism using the most advanced technology in communications. This collaboration was initiated to jointly develop and launch the first pan-African multimedia network dedicated to travel and tourism using the most advanced technology in communication. This includes TV, Internet, mobile and call-centres. This new venture which will help consumers all over Africa to book packages, airline tickets and hotels for all the destinations seen across all media platforms is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2013.

My mission is to convince all stakeholders (private investors, television and tourism industry partners, African television viewers and the public) of the extent of economic
opportunity of our venture, and raise the needed support and/or start-up capital to pursue this opportunity in Africa and gain insights and information that will better assist us achieve our ambition to deliver a “must have” standalone nonfiction travel channel targeted at African viewers by October 2012.
